Foundation

The Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Foundation (KACPF) is the charitable affiliate of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police (KACP). Established in 2009, the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that receives, administers, and distributes funds for law enforcement-related charitable and educational purposes.

Structure

Tax-deductible gifts support the Foundation’s charitable and educational programs and activities. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors composed of current and former KACP members, active chief law enforcement officers, interested citizens, and corporate and community leaders.

Mission

The mission of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Foundation is to support and advance the professional development of law enforcement leaders through executive, supervisory, and command training and other police-related education. The Foundation is equally committed to helping Kentuckians enter the law enforcement profession and to supporting charitable efforts that benefit the Commonwealth’s law enforcement community and the public at large.

Goals

The Foundation works with corporate partners, private supporters, KACP members, and other organizations to accomplish the following goals:

  • Sponsor the annual KACP Training Conference;
  • Sponsor executive, command and supervisory training and education programs for law enforcement officials;
  • Support programs that enhance and promote professionalism and ethics in Kentucky law enforcement;
